Unfinished work is often, although not always, more satisfying than finished stuff. That’s not a reason for not pressing on even at the risk of losing the exciting sense of airy potential and it’s certainly not an excuse to aim for artful unfinishedness, but it is true. I started this yesterday and was reminded of the fact.
It occurred to me as I left the studio that this is not a characteristic shared by other art forms which is interesting (if not especially important).
